4. Description: Refuse recycling services. Telford and Wrekin Council is a Unitary Authority located in the West Midlands in North East Shropshire. The Authority┐s main offices are located in three buildings in Central Telford and one in Wellington with a number of smaller satellite offices throughout the Borough.
The Authority is tendering for a recycling service to operate in selected Council offices, leisure centres, libraries and other operational building types, but not including schools. The materials to be collected as part of this service are paper, confidential paper waste, mixed tins and cans, mixed glass, plastics (bottles and food containers) and cardboard.
Tenderers will be required to provide suitable containers for the delivery of this service. Full details are provided in the Invitation To Tender.
The contract period is initially for one year with the option to extend in one-month periods for a further 12 months.
