The successful DEN provider will be required to take a lease on the building envelope for an energy centre as well as the initial distribution pipework. The following services will be required:
The provision of plant for the Energy Centre and complete its integration with the existing heat distribution network
The operation and maintenance of the energy centre and distribution network
The development of the scheme to access further customers by extension of the network
The sale of energy to customers and the measurement/metering of heat supplied
The billing and revenue collection for energy supplied
